NFR Training: Course Syllabus


Neuro-Fascial Re-EducationTM (NFR) is based on the premise that it is possible to re-education the nervous system and the fascial system while balancing the acupressure system to restore homeostasis to the body. This process will eliminate the underlying structural and functional imbalances which generate pain in areas of the body far from the originating imbalance.

The goal of NFR Training is to enable students to understand how chronic pain originates, and how to apply NFR techniques to alleviating pain for clients.

  • Neurology of the spine
  • Understanding the neurology of pain radiation (referred pain)
  • C5 Neurologic Pattern – Biceps: Musculocutaneous Nerve
  • C6 Neurologic Pattern – Wrist Extensor Radial Nerve and Musculotaneous Nerve
  • C7 Neurologic Pattern – Triceps: C7 Radial Nerve; Wrist Flexor: Median and Ulnar Nerves
  • C8 Neurologic Pattern – Flexor digitorium superficialis and flexor digitorium profundis
  • T1 Neurologic Level – Medial brachial cutaneous nerve
  • L4 Neurological Pattern – Tibialis Anterior: Deep peroneal Nerve
  • L5 Neurologic Pattern – Superficial peroneal nerve
  • Myofascial release techniques
  • Acupressure techniques for pain control
  • How to work carefully with endangerment zones of the cervical spine
  • Clinical observation of postural problems and foot position
  • Understanding the emotional influences on posture and foot position
  • How to assess and treat structural problems
