Scoliosis

Scoliosis is not a disease — it is a descriptive term. All spines have curves. Some curvature in the neck, upper trunk and lower trunk is normal. Humans need these spinal curves to help the upper body maintain proper balance and alignment over the pelvis.

However, when there are abnormal side-to-side (lateral) curves in the spinal column, we refer to this as scoliosis. Abnormal curvature of the spine and spinal misalignment can be understood as an energetic imbalance, which causes the muscles to pull the body out of shape in various ways. It’s given different names according to the kind of curvature. Scoliosis is a lateral imbalance, kyphosis is an excessive arch to the upper spine, lordosis is an excessive inward curve to the lower spine. They often occur together in varying degrees.

Many of my clients have this problem, which if left untreated, can turn into pain in other areas of their body, causing them to reduce their activities and quality of life.

Through NFR treatments, many if not all of my clients with sciolosis report increased range of motion, reduced spasticity, and reduced or completely eliminated pain.

My first massage called NFR left me feeling like he gave me a new body. My scoliosis was so changed that it felt like my spine was perfectly straight for a few weeks. I will continue my sessions with Gary Remes.
